Claim review drill
Practice the proof check before repeating a claim.
This short drill gives readers authored public-safe sample claims, proof fields to inspect, and an answer key for bounded reuse.
Public claim level: concept. No public conclusion without evidence. This is a learning exercise, not an automated grader, approval workflow, release gate, runtime proof, or replacement for human review.
Drill setup
Read the claim, then inspect the evidence fields.
What to practiceDecide whether the sentence can be repeated, downgraded, held for owner follow-up, kept internal, or not repeated.
What stays outside the drillThe answer key does not prove software behavior, approve releases, score claims, or certify coverage.
What counts as supportUse only public-safe proof paths, rule IDs or rule families, evidence tiers, coverage labels, limitations, non-claims, source context, and public/private status.
Sample public-safe claims
Seven practice rows, one bounded outcome each.
| Scenario | Claim text | Expected claim level | Proof path needed | Evidence fields to check | Limitation or non-claim | Correct outcome | Next action |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| supported demo-level claim | A public demo route shows partial static evidence labels beside each sample claim. | demo |
Public demo evidence trail or a public-safe summary that keeps the limitation attached. |
Proof path: public demo evidence trail.
Rule family: public-demo-summary.
Evidence tier: Tier2Structural.
Coverage label: PartialAnalysis.
Limitation: demo sample scope.
Non-claim: not product-wide coverage.
Source context: checked-in public demo.
Public/private status: public-safe.
|
Repeat only with the demo proof path, partial label, and non-claim attached. | repeat with proof |
Quote the narrower sentence and keep the proof link next to it. |
| concept-only claim | The checklist ships a claim-approval workflow for public summaries. | concept |
Review claim checklist as concept guidance, not product behavior. |
Proof path: checklist page.
Rule family: claim-review-guidance.
Evidence tier: Tier3SyntaxOrTextual.
Coverage label: concept.
Limitation: authored guidance.
Non-claim: not shipped approval behavior.
Source context: public concept page.
Public/private status: public-safe.
|
The draft wording overstates concept guidance as shipped behavior. | downgrade before repeating |
Rewrite as concept-level practice guidance before reuse. |
| reduced-coverage claim | The demo evidence covers every sample route without analysis gaps. | demo |
Reduced coverage playbook plus the cited demo summary. |
Proof path: reduced coverage page.
Rule family: coverage-label-boundary.
Evidence tier: Tier4Unknown.
Coverage label: ReducedCoverage.
Limitation: gaps stay visible.
Non-claim: no absence-of-gap conclusion.
Source context: public limitation guidance.
Public/private status: public-safe.
|
Reduced coverage cannot support the stronger coverage sentence. | owner follow-up needed |
Ask for a narrower public-safe summary or keep the reduced label attached. |
| unsafe runtime claim | TraceMap proves the sample endpoint stayed fast in production traffic. | shipped |
Static versus runtime boundary. |
Proof path: static/runtime boundary.
Rule family: static-runtime-boundary.
Evidence tier: Tier4Unknown.
Coverage label: not-supported.
Limitation: static evidence only.
Non-claim: no runtime or performance proof.
Source context: public boundary page.
Public/private status: public-safe boundary only.
|
Static repository evidence does not prove production traffic, endpoint performance, or outage cause. | do not repeat |
Replace with a static-evidence sentence or route runtime questions to runtime owners. |
| unsafe release claim | The static evidence checklist approves the release as operationally safe. | shipped |
Release review boundary. |
Proof path: release boundary page.
Rule family: release-boundary.
Evidence tier: Tier4Unknown.
Coverage label: not-supported.
Limitation: release owners decide release state.
Non-claim: no release approval or safety proof.
Source context: public boundary page.
Public/private status: public-safe boundary only.
|
A static checklist cannot replace release controls, owner judgment, or operational checks. | do not repeat |
Remove the approval wording and hand release questions to release owners. |
| private-evidence-only claim | An internal scan note supports the sample dependency claim. | hidden |
A public-safe summary, if an owner creates one. |
Proof path: no public-safe path yet.
Rule family: private-scan-summary.
Evidence tier: Tier3SyntaxOrTextual.
Coverage label: internal-only.
Limitation: private-only support.
Non-claim: not public evidence.
Source context: hidden working material.
Public/private status: private.
|
Private-only evidence is not a public proof path. | internal only |
Keep it internal or ask an owner for a reviewed public-safe summary. |
| missing-proof claim | TraceMap can repeat this public claim because reviewers remember seeing support. | concept |
A public-safe proof path with rule context, tier, coverage label, limitation, and non-claim. |
Proof path: missing.
Rule family: missing.
Evidence tier: Tier4Unknown.
Coverage label: unknown.
Limitation: no public support.
Non-claim: memory is not evidence.
Source context: unavailable.
Public/private status: unavailable.
|
Confidence, seniority, repetition, and pressure cannot fill the proof gap. | do not repeat |
Stop the sentence until a public-safe proof path exists. |
Evidence checklist
Inspect the same fields every time.

The outcome controls reuse; it does not upgrade proof.
| Scenario | Correct outcome | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| supported demo-level claim | repeat with proof | Repeat only the bounded demo sentence with proof attached. |
| concept-only claim | downgrade before repeating | Rewrite as concept guidance. |
| reduced-coverage claim | owner follow-up needed | Narrow the sentence or ask for public-safe support. |
| unsafe runtime claim | do not repeat | Remove runtime, traffic, performance, and outage-cause wording. |
| unsafe release claim | do not repeat | Remove release approval and safety wording. |
| private-evidence-only claim | internal only | Keep private support internal until a reviewed public-safe summary exists. |
| missing-proof claim | do not repeat | Stop until proof vocabulary exists. |
Unsafe answer examples
Rejected patterns are not TraceMap claims.
- Do not answer that a static row proves runtime behavior, production traffic, endpoint performance, or outage cause.
- Do not answer that a checklist approves a release, proves release safety, proves operational safety, or replaces release controls.
- Do not answer that missing evidence is filled by confidence, seniority, repetition, or schedule pressure.
- Do not answer that private-only support can be cited publicly before a reviewed summary exists.
- Do not answer that the drill is AI/LLM analysis, autonomous grading, or a substitute for human review.
Stop conditions
Stop when the evidence boundary breaks.
No proof pathDo not repeat the claim until a public-safe support path exists.
No rule ID or rule familyAsk for owner follow-up rather than inventing a rule.
Missing tier or coverage labelKeep the claim internal or downgrade it until the evidence strength and coverage state are visible.
Private-only supportUse internal follow-up until the owner provides a public-safe summary.
Runtime, release, or safety wordingRoute those questions to the responsible owners and remove the public TraceMap claim.
Non-claims
The drill teaches review discipline, not new proof.
- This page does not publish raw facts, raw SQLite content, analyzer logs, raw source snippets, raw SQL, config values, secrets, local paths, raw remotes, generated scan directories, private sample names, raw command output, hidden validation details, or credential-like values.
- The drill does not prove runtime behavior, production traffic, endpoint performance, outage cause, release approval, release safety, operational safety, absence of impact, complete coverage, AI impact analysis, LLM analysis, or replacement of human review.
- A correct answer is a reuse decision for the sample sentence, not proof that the underlying software is shipped, demo-backed, safe, approved, complete, or impact-free.
